HK stocks slump at open, track US losses overnight

Hong Kong stocks tumbled at the open on Friday, following significant losses overnight on Wall Street fuelled by worries over rising interest rates and surging inflation.

The Hang Seng Index dipped 2.4 percent to 20,287.

The Shanghai Composite Index fell 1.8 percent to 3,011, while the Shenzhen Composite Index dropped 2.4 percent to 1,845. (AFP)
