Early losses as Hong Kong market reopens

Hong Kong stocks opened on the back foot on Tuesday morning as investors returned from a long weekend break to play catch-up with losses in Asia the previous day, and following a strong end to last week.

The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.77 percent to 20,928.

Mainland markets are closed for a public holiday. (AFP)
