Hong Kong stocks extend losses to fourth day

Hong Kong stocks fell for a fourth straight day on Thursday as casinos extended the previous day’s rout, while investors were also on edge over the mainland’s regulatory clampdown and ongoing concerns about the fast-spreading Delta virus variant.

The Hang Seng Index dropped 1.5 percent, or 365 points, to 24,667.

But the Shanghai Composite Index shed 1.3 percent, or 49 points, to 3,607, while the Shenzhen Composite Index fell 2 percent, or 48 points, to 2,437. (AFP)
