HK stocks open higher, powered by Wall Street’s gains

Hong Kong stocks rose again at the open on Thursday, building on a healthy run-up this week, following a strong lead from Wall Street, as US inflation data suggested that prices could be stabilising.

The Hang Seng Index added 0.7 percent to 24,561.

The Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.1 percent to 3,601, while the Shenzhen Composite Index also ticked up 0.1 percent to 2,478. (AFP)
