Hex Trust Appoints HKEX’s Former Advisor James Fok to Its Board

Hong Kong-based digital asset custody service provider Hex Trust announced that James Fok has joined its advisory board.

James brings with him over 20 years of experience in capital markets and the financial services industry across several key management positions, and as an advisor to corporations and governments.

His experience and extensive network will be key to further strengthening Hex Trust and scaling its financial institution client base globally.

James played a major role on a number of landmark initiatives during his time at the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, including the acquisition of the London Metal Exchange, the Stock and Bond Connect programmes, and Hong Kong’s 2018 listing reforms.

Prior to joining HKEX in 2012, James was an investment banker with Citigroup, as well as other global investment banks, specialising in the financial services sector.

He has advised on many high-profile M&A and capital raising transactions across Europe, North America and the Asia Pacific region.

James is also an international member of the Ireland for Finance Industry Advisory Committee and the author of the upcoming book Financial Cold War.
